The history of AXTIDA A.E.B.E. dates back to 1957, when Evangelos Kouvrakis, a pioneer in the wholesale trade sector, founded the company Kouvraki Ο.Ε. With vision, dedication, and entrepreneurial spirit, he developed a business that quickly established itself in the Halkidiki region, providing representation, trading, and distribution services for consumer, tobacco, and confectionery products.

The Birth of Cafe KOUVRAKI: In the 1980s, the company took a significant step in its development by expanding into coffee production. Driven by a passion for quality and tradition, Cafe KOUVRAKI was created – a Greek coffee that quickly gained the preference of consumers in Halkidiki and Northern Greece, as well as the instant Cafe KOUVRAKI.

1991 marks a new era for the company, as the founder Evangelos Kouvrakis and his wife tragically pass away in a car accident. As a result, the second generation, with Socrates and Anastasia Kouvraki, takes over the management and development of the brand. With respect for tradition and a fresh entrepreneurial perspective, the new management continues the vision of the founder and father, evolving the company’s activities.

The new millennium brings with it an important phase of growth for AXTIDA Α.Ε.Β.Ε., as the company expands its activities beyond Halkidiki. With the establishment of a new branch in Thessaloniki, the company paves the way for the gradual expansion of its network to other regions in Northern Greece, strengthening its presence in the broader market.

2009 is a milestone for AXTIDA Α.Ε.Β.Ε., as the relocation and merger of the Thessaloniki branch and headquarters took place in new, modern facilities at our current location. With the aim of improving functionality and efficiency, a state-of-the-art space was created, meeting the increased needs of the business.

The company continues its dynamic growth with the further expansion of its facilities. The upgrade includes the addition of modern equipment, such as state-of-the-art refrigerators, enhancing the distribution chain of perishable products. At the same time, the company moves forward with new strategic partnerships with major industry players.

Anastasia Kouvraki, born in May 1968, is a key pillar of AXTIDA Α.Ε.Β.Ε., holding the position of Vice President. A graduate of the Faculty of Law at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, she has extensive experience in both the legal and business sectors.

For 20 years, she served as legal advisor to Piraeus Bank, while also playing an active role in the management and development of AXTIDA, as well as other companies within the group. With her foresight and experience, she strategically contributes to the company's operations and growth, ensuring its continuous development and strong presence in the market.

Sokratis Kouvrakis – President & CEO

Sokratis Kouvrakis, born in December 1966, leads AXTIDA Α.Ε.Β.Ε. as President and CEO, continuing the family tradition in the field of consumer goods distribution and trading.

With studies in Electronics at the Technological Educational Institute of Chania, Crete, and a specialization in Marketing from ICBS Thessaloniki, he combines technical expertise with strategic management, driving the company’s continuous growth. Under his leadership, AXTIDA has expanded its activities beyond the borders of Halkidiki, strengthening its network in Northern Greece and investing in modern facilities, new partnerships, and innovative logistics services.

AXTIDA Α.Ε.Β.Ε. is part of a dynamic business group with a presence in various sectors. The group includes a tobacco company based in Halkidiki, which has been distributing tobacco products since 1970 and holds the exclusive distribution rights for British American Tobacco Hellas products since the early 2000s, offering reliable services in the tobacco industry. Additionally, the group’s hospitality activities include an owned city hotel in Nea Moudania, operating since 1984, providing high-quality hospitality services. Furthermore, the group is involved in real estate management, investing in innovative solutions for property management and development. The group employs approximately 50 staff, actively contributing to the development of the local economy and creating stable job opportunities.
